BJP Rajasthan to Complete District President Elections by January 9: Madan Rathore

Jaipur, January 5 : BJP Rajasthan President Madan Rathore has announced that the district president election process in the state will be completed by January 9, 2025. Speaking to the media, Rathore highlighted that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is the only political organization in the world that follows a structured and time-bound electoral process, from booth-level representatives to the national president.

Organizational Elections Underway

Rathore stated that the ongoing organizational elections began with the unanimous selection of booth committees, followed by the near-completion of the mandal president elections. The next step is to elect district presidents, which will be finalized between January 8 and 9. He further added, “To ensure fairness and transparency in the election process, former Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani has been appointed as the election officer for Rajasthan. After the district president elections, the election process for the state president will commence, followed by the appointment of the national president.”

Focus on Strengthening Grassroots Leadership

Rathore emphasized the BJP’s commitment to building a robust organizational structure by empowering its workers. He explained that after the election of the state and national presidents, the party’s executive committee will be formed, responsibilities will be assigned, and panna pramukhs (page in-charges) will be appointed. “Every worker in the BJP is assigned a role with the aim of fostering development and working for the welfare of society and the nation. We encourage our cadre to establish strong grassroots connections and contribute to nation-building,” he added.

Criticism of Congress’s Role as Opposition

When asked about the performance of the Congress in the state, Rathore didn’t hold back. He remarked, “The Congress, even in opposition, has failed to play its role effectively. Leaders like Ashok Gehlot and Sachin Pilot couldn’t work in a coordinated manner when they were in power, and now, as opposition, they are struggling to maintain a unified front.”
He criticized the Gehlot government’s administrative decisions, claiming, “Many of their policies were either aimed at appeasing a select few or went against public interest. Gehlot even declared certain areas with just one assembly constituency as districts, while regions with 8 to 11 constituencies were left out. Districts were formed arbitrarily, with populations as low as 3.5 lakh in some cases and as high as 22 lakh in others. These decisions were irrelevant and lacked logical justification.”

BJP’s Performance and Upcoming Budget

On the subject of the upcoming budget, Rathore praised the BJP’s approach, stating, “In its first budget, the BJP government worked towards fulfilling promises made in its election manifesto. Under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma, nearly 50% of the commitments made in the BJP’s manifesto have been fulfilled. Plans are underway to achieve the remaining promises through strategic initiatives.”
