ALWAR: Birthday celebrations of a 7-year-old boy became a gloomy affair at Fagana Ki Dhani under Mundawar when a 35-year-old man was killed in firing. The relatives of the deceased have lodged a case of murder against a constable and head constable posted in Delhi who too were guests in the celebrations and had allegedly opened fire during the birthday celebrations. After the firing, a stampede ensued at the spot in which two women were also injured. Police were investigating the case to find if it was a deliberate firing or an accidental one.
According to police, a large number of people gathered to celebrate the birthday of Ajjao, grandson of one Kanhiya Ram in the village. “The locals have said that the accused identified as head constable Raju Paliwal and constable Anil Chaudhary who are posted at Rohini sector 3 police station in Delhi were acquainted with one Sundar Ram who too was related to the family. However, the pistol was blocked and while they were trying to rectify the problem it fired. The bullet hit Sundar Ram who got seriously injured,” said a senior police officer of Mundawar police station.
