Bihar Board 12th Result 2025 Declared: 86.50% Students Pass, All Three Stream Toppers Are Girls

March 25, 2025 | Patna: The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) has officially declared the Intermediate (Class 12) Result 2025, with a pass percentage of 86.50%. The results were announced by Bihar Education Minister Sunil Kumar, in the presence of Additional Chief Secretary S. Siddharth and BSEB Chairman Anand Kishor.

A notable highlight this year is that all three stream toppers—Science, Commerce, and Arts—are girls, with each one securing top ranks from different districts of Bihar.

Stream-Wise Toppers: Girls Shine in All Categories

  • Science Topper: Priya Jaiswal from SS+2 School Harnatand, Bettiah (West Champaran)

  • Commerce Topper: Roshni Kumari from Vaishali, daughter of Sudhir Kumar, who scored 475 out of 500

  • Arts Topper: Ankita Kumari from VN High School, Sehan, Hajipur, daughter of Anil Kumar Sharma, who scored 473 marks (94.6%)

This exceptional performance by girls reflects the growing academic excellence and determination among female students in the state.

Science Topper Priya Jaiswal: “I Couldn’t Believe I Topped”

Speaking to the media, Priya Jaiswal, the Science stream topper from Bettiah, shared her emotional reaction:
“I was in the market when I received a call saying I topped. I thought there must be many Priyas in Bihar, but when my full name was confirmed, I was in shock.”

Priya credited her success to consistent effort, her sister’s support during late-night studies, and a special focus on writing practice. She expressed her aspiration to become a doctor and thanked her parents and teachers for their unwavering support.

Exam Stats: Over 12.9 Lakh Students Appeared

The Bihar Board conducted the Intermediate exams from February 1 to 15, 2025, across 1,677 exam centres in 38 districts. A total of 12,92,313 students appeared for the exam, which included:

  • 6,50,466 boys

  • 6,41,847 girls

Out of these, 11,07,213 students were declared successful, showcasing an impressive pass percentage and marking another successful year for the board.
