Bharat Hooda’s Heroics Power Telugu Titans Into PKL-12 Semifinals, Patna Pirates Knocked Out

New Delhi, October 28 (Udaipur Kiran). Bharat Hooda’s brilliant performance helped Telugu Titans secure a thrilling 46-39 victory over Patna Pirates in Eliminator-3 of the Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) Season 12. With this win at the Thyagaraj Indoor Stadium on Tuesday, the Titans advanced to the semifinals (Qualifier-2), where they will face Puneri Paltan on Wednesday.

PKL-12

For Patna Pirates, the loss marked the end of their campaign. However, Ayan (22 points) impressed throughout the season and became the first player to cross 300 raid points this season. In defence, Navdeep earned a High-5 and claimed the title of the season’s most successful defender.

A Tight Battle in the Early Minutes
The match began on an even note, with both teams trading points. Ayan’s strong raids helped Patna take a 6-3 lead before they inflicted an all-out on the Titans to go up 10-5. Bharat Hooda, however, kept the Titans in the contest, narrowing the gap to 9-11 with consistent scoring.

After the break, Ayan completed his milestone 300th raid point but was immediately taken out by Shubham. That moment shifted the momentum. Bharat’s aggressive raids and Shubham’s solid tackles turned the game around, leading to an all-out on Patna as the Titans moved ahead 20-18.

Bharat’s Super Raid Seals the Win
In the second half, Bharat Hooda dominated completely, securing his 10th Super-10 of the season and extending the lead to 30-20 with multi-point raids. Although Ayan fought back, the Titans’ defence stood firm.

Patna managed to all-out the Titans once to close the gap at 37-32, but Bharat responded with a decisive super raid to seal the victory.

With this win, Telugu Titans have reached the semifinals for the first time and will face Puneri Paltan in Qualifier-2. The winner of that clash will meet Dabang Delhi KC in the final on October 31.
