Madrid, March 16: In a stunning display, Barcelona secured a commanding 5-2 victory over Sevilla in the La Liga, thanks to Brazilian winger Rafinha’s remarkable hat-trick. This win solidifies Barcelona’s stronghold at the top of the Spanish football league.
Barcelona’s coach, Hansi Flick, opted not to field young stars Lamine Yamal and Fermín López, keeping an eye on the upcoming Champions League match. Despite this, Barcelona controlled the game from the outset, showcasing aggressive play.
In the seventh minute, Barcelona was awarded a penalty when a Sevilla defender pulled João Cancelo’s shirt inside the penalty box. Rafinha capitalized on this opportunity, giving his team an early lead. Shortly after, another penalty was awarded to Barcelona following a handball by a Sevilla player during Cancelo’s impressive run in the box, which Rafinha converted to double the score to 2-0.
