Balmer Lawrie trades higher on the BSE

Balmer Lawrie & Company is currently trading at Rs. 205.05, up by 3.55 points or 1.76% from its previous closing of Rs. 201.50 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 207.70 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 208.00 and Rs. 201.00 respectively. So far 11949 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group ‘B’ stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 213.00 on 17-Dec-2018 and a 52 week low of Rs. 160.00 on 15-Oct-2019.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 208.35 and Rs. 196.30 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 2297.15 crore.

The Institutions holding in the company stood at 8.04%, while Non-Institutions held 91.96%.

Balmer Lawrie & Company has received approval for the Closure of Industrial Packaging-Kolkata unit & Technology and Product Development centre-Kolkata on account of unit incurring substantial losses since the last several years and all attempts to revive the Plant are proved futile. The Board of Directors of the Company at its meeting held on November 11, 2019 has approved the same.
