‘Called help-line after mother refused to hear’
Udaipur : A 14-year old girl in Chittorgarh city sought the help of child line and complained against her father that he had been touching her private parts in the absence of her mother and other family members. The eight grader who lives in Shastri Nagar in a joint family called the help line on tuesday and narrated her grievance upon which the child line reported the matter to the child welfare committee (CWC). At the instructions of the CWC, cops from the Mahila Thana went to the minor’s home and produced her before the committee which took a written statement of the girl.
In her report,the minor said that she lived with her maternal grandparents in Indore earlier but this year she came to live with her parents in ShastriNagar at Chittorgarh city. She was admitted in class 8th in a private school. On July 10, her mother had gone to attend a marriage function and the minor was sleeping with her younger sister in a room when her father came and slept beside her. He touched her private parts and continued molesting her despite her resistance.
The girl said that when she told this to her mother, she didnt take it seriously and scolded her instead. The minor said that her father has been molesting her since and she have been complaining this to her mother who doesnt takes it seriously. Lately on Muharram when her mother had gone out of town, her father repeated the dirty act. The child’s statement has been recorded however, a police complaint is yet to be lodged against the father. The girl said in her report that she wished to live with her parents, however, she wants to live in a safe environment.
