Jaipur, October 22 (Udaipur Kiran): In a major breakthrough against organised crime, the Kotputli-Behror district police arrested a ₹25,000 rewarded gangster, identified as Abhishek alias Batar, a key shooter of the Rohit Godara gang, while he was attempting to flee disguised as a rural woman wearing ghaghra-lugdi.

According to Superintendent of Police (SP) Devendra Bishnoi, the accused, wanted in a serious case registered at Kotputli police station, had been hiding in Behror. He was reportedly planning to execute a major criminal act when the Quick Response Teams (QRT) of the police, acting on specific intelligence, launched a swift and precise operation leading to his arrest.
🔫 Illegal Weapons Recovered
During the arrest, police seized a large cache of illegal firearms, including three country-made pistols, 12 live cartridges, and one extra magazine from the accused’s possession.
SP Bishnoi said that Abhishek alias Batar (21), son of Pappu Ram Gurjar, and a resident of Molahera, Paniyala police station area, has a criminal record with eight serious cases already registered against him in various police stations.
A new case has been filed against him at Behror police station under relevant sections of the Arms Act and the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).

SP Bishnoi commended the alertness and swift action of Constable Manoj Kumar (QRT Kotputli) and Constable Baldev (QRT Behror), whose coordination and prompt response led to the successful capture of the gangster before he could escape or execute any criminal plan.
The arrest marks a significant achievement for the district police in their ongoing crackdown on organised criminal networks operating across Rajasthan.
