Xiaomi Mix Fold 4, rumored to be the Chinese smartphone brand’s next-generation foldable phone, will soon be announced as the successor to last year’s Mix Fold 3. Ahead of official confirmation, the specifications of the next book-style foldable phone have been leaked online. Xiaomi Mix Fold 4 is designed to run on the 3rd generation Snapdragon 8 chip. The phone is said to have a quad-camera system with a 50-megapixel Sony IMX800 sensor. The Xiaomi Mix Fold 4 is expected to remain a purely Chinese device.
According to a report by Android Headlines, the model number “24072PX77C” and codename “Goku” of the Xiaomi Mix Fold 4 was found in the database and the internal model number is reportedly “N18”. It is equipped with the flagship Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Generation 3 chipset.
The Xiaomi Mix Fold 4 is expected to feature the same quad-camera system as the Mix Fold 3. The camera setup is likely to feature a 1/1.55-inch 50-megapixel Omnivision “Light Hunter 800” sensor Have primary sensor. . The Chinese smartphone manufacturer also used the same camera in the Redmi K70 Pro. The Xiaomi Mix Flip is also believed to have the same OmniVision sensor.
The company allows the Mix Fold 4 to use a 1/2.8-inch 60-megapixel OmniVision OV60A sensor and a 1/3-inch 13-megapixel OV13B sensor on the Mix Fold 4 with 2x optical zoom. For comparison, last year’s Mix Fold 3 had a 3.2x telephoto camera. The upcoming model may also feature a 1/3.94-inch 10-megapixel Samsung S5K3K1 sensor that supports 5x optical zoom.
The Xiaomi Mix Fold 4 is equipped with a 16MP OV16F selfie camera inside and on the display. The resolution of the screen is said to be improved compared to the previous model. Additionally, the report claims that the new foldable phone will be limited to the Chinese market. In contrast, the so-called MixFlip is expected to launch in China and other global markets except India and Japan.
The smartphone manufacturer is expected to unveil the Xiaomi Mix Fold 4 in August. The launch is scheduled for this year and will coincide with the company’s previous models (the Xiaomi Mix Fold 3 was announced in August 2023).
