Weather Shift Expected with Rain on February 17

Noida, February 16: The weather in the National Capital Region is set to change once again, according to the meteorological department’s seven-day forecast. On February 17, the sky is expected to be cloudier than usual, with light rain and strong winds anticipated. Following this, a drop in minimum temperatures may be recorded.

The forecast indicates that on February 16, the minimum temperature will be around 13 degrees Celsius, while the maximum will reach 27 degrees Celsius, with predominantly clear weather. On February 17, the minimum temperature is expected to remain at 13 degrees and the maximum at 27 degrees Celsius, but light rain is likely along with increased cloud cover.

On February 18, the minimum temperature is projected to be 13 degrees and the maximum 28 degrees, with clearer weather returning. The temperatures for February 19, 20, and 21 are expected to remain stable, with minimums of 14 degrees and maximums of 28 degrees Celsius. Most days are predicted to have mainly clear skies.

Regarding air quality, the situation in NCR remains partially acceptable, but many areas are recorded in the orange category. In Ghaziabad, the air quality index (AQI) readings are as follows: Indirapuram at 269, Loni at 299, Sanjay Nagar at 198, and Vasundhara at 259.

In Delhi, Anand Vihar has an AQI of 300, Ashok Vihar at 266, Alipur at 256, Bawana at 264, Burari Crossing at 240, Chandni Chowk at 247, CRRI Mathura Road at 202, Dr. Karni Singh Shooting Range at 212, and DTU at 205. A relatively better situation was noted in Aaya Nagar, where the AQI was recorded at 155.

In Noida, Sector 125 has an AQI of 225, Sector 1 at 201, and Sector 116 at 202. This indicates that the air quality in most areas of NCR remains between moderate and poor.

According to the meteorological department, the expected rain and strong winds on February 17 may lead to a temporary improvement in pollution levels. However, the drop in temperatures following the rain could increase the chill during mornings and nights. Experts advise residents to take health precautions in light of the changing weather.
