Udaipur, Rajasthan — April 20, 2025: Mohanlal Sukhadia University (MLSU) witnessed a moment of gratitude and social service on Friday as Eklingnath Rashtriya Seva Sangathan donated a water cooler and RO plant to the Department of Fashion Technology and Designing. The inauguration was done by Vice Chancellor Dr. Sunita Mishra, who praised the initiative, calling water service a “mahaan seva”.

“Jal Seva is Mahaan Seva,” says VC Dr. Mishra
While addressing the gathering, Dr. Mishra said, “Jal ke bina sab kuch adhoora hai. This thoughtful gift by Eklingnath Rashtriya Seva Sangathan will benefit all the girls and women who come here to learn sewing and fashion design.” She also appreciated the consistent efforts of department head Dr. Dolly Mogra, and announced that two unused buildings on campus will soon be allocated to the department to expand training facilities for more women.
Empowering Women through Skill Training
Founder and President of Eklingnath Rashtriya Seva Sangathan, Aakash Bagdi, expressed his commitment to the “Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao” mission. “Hamari taraf se jitna ho sakega, hum samaj seva ke liye hamesha taiyaar rahenge,” he said. The organization is actively working towards promoting girl child education and women’s empowerment in Udaipur.
Dean Madan Singh Rathore also thanked the Sangathan for their support and mentioned that the department will soon operate in enhanced infrastructure for better student experience.
Ceremony Highlights
The ceremony began with ribbon-cutting by VC Dr. Mishra, followed by warm welcomes from Dr. Dolly Mogra and Rekha Purohit. The newly installed water cooler and RO plant will now provide clean, safe drinking water to students and faculty alike — especially useful during Rajasthan’s scorching summers.
The initiative stands as a prime example of how samaj seva and education can go hand in hand to uplift communities.
