UP PET Result Declared, Recruitment for 44,000 Posts to Begin Soon

Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UPSSSC) has released the result of the Preliminary Eligibility Test (PET-2025) on Tuesday. The result is available on the official website upsssc.gov.in. The UP PET scorecard will remain valid for three years. Along with the result, the recruitment process for Group ‘C’ vacant posts is set to begin, as informed by Secretary Avneesh Saxena.

The exam was conducted across 1479 centres in 48 districts of the state on September 6 and 7. A total of 25,31,996 candidates registered for the exam, and 19,43,171 appeared. The result was approved in a meeting chaired by Chairman S.N. Sabat.

The UP PET scorecard is also accessible through the commission’s official mobile app. During the exam, 41 candidates filled incorrect question booklet numbers on their OMR sheets; their applications were cancelled and their scorecards show the status “Cancelled.” Meanwhile, 517 candidates have been provisionally allowed to appear in the written exam based on exam standards, indicated by “Provisional Permission” on their scorecards. Forty-four candidates have been marked with “Unfair Means” on their scorecards.

Through this screening test, thousands of Group C level vacancies in various departments of the Uttar Pradesh government will be filled. After the PET result announcement, the commission will publish recruitment advertisements and begin the application process. Candidates will be called for the main exam, skill test, or physical efficiency test based on their PET scores.

The Subordinate Services Selection Commission has received proposals for recruitment to a total of 44,778 posts. These include 7,994 posts for Lekhpal, 5,431 for Technical Services, 4,582 for Junior Assistant, and 320 for Executive Officer. Other proposals include 105 posts for Fisheries Officer, 397 for Homeopathic Pharmacist, 255 for BGC Technician, 560 for Compounder, 564 for Excise Constable, 545 for Assistant Development Officer, and 419 for Assistant Boring Technician. Proposals have also been received for posts such as Cartographer, Visually Impaired Training Graduate Teacher, Workshop Superintendent, Assistant Statistical Officer, and Fisheries Inspector.

This year, the highest number of vacancies have been proposed for Lekhpal recruitment, offering new employment opportunities across the state.
