Lucknow : Polling on 59 seats in the third phase of Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections which started slowly picked up as 21.18 per of 2.16 crore voters have exercised their franchise till 11 am on Sunday.
As per the report provided by the Chief Electoral Officer’s office maximum 25.80 votes were polled in Lalitpur, whereas only 16.79 votes were polled in Kanpur Nagar. Among other districts 22.67 per cent votes were polled in Hathras, 24.32 per cent in Firozabad, 22.54 per cent in Kasganj, 24.30 per cent in Etah, 24.46 per cent in Mainpuri, 19.64 per cent in Farrukhabad, 22 per cent in Kannauj, 19.84 per cent in Etawah, 18.53 per cent in Auraiya, 19.86 per cent Kanpur Dehat, 21.66 per cent in Jalaun, 19.11 per cent in Jhansi, 23.30 per cent in Hamirpur and 23.50 per cent in Mahoba. Additional Chief Electoral Officer BDR Tiwari said that the poll process is continuing peacefully.
