Shimla, May 1: A ceremony was held at Lok Bhawan to celebrate the foundation day of Gujarat and Maharashtra, attracting enthusiastic participation from residents of both states. The Governor of Himachal Pradesh, Kavinder Gupta, was the chief guest at the event. He invited the people of Gujarat and Maharashtra residing in Himachal to come together and celebrate this occasion with a spirit of unity and cultural exchange.
During the event, participants from Gujarat and Maharashtra interacted with the Governor, sharing insights about their rich cultural heritage, traditions, and customs. This gathering served to enhance mutual understanding and respect among people from different states, allowing them to share experiences and learn more about each other’s cultures.
The Governor honored the guests by presenting them with traditional Himachali caps and mufflers, symbolizing the culture and hospitality of Himachal. The atmosphere was filled with warmth and enthusiasm as everyone came together to make this special day memorable.
In his address, Governor Kavinder Gupta emphasized that such events strengthen the spirit of unity and brotherhood in the country. He remarked that despite the diversity of languages and cultures in India, all people are connected as one nation, which is our greatest strength.
He referenced the concept of “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam,” highlighting that this idea is deeply rooted in Indian culture and such events further reinforce it. He added that programs like this at Lok Bhawan provide opportunities for people to better understand each other and appreciate the country’s diversity. At the end of the event, the Governor’s secretary, Sandeep Bhardwaj, was also present and praised this initiative.
