Udaipur to Host Literary and Cultural Events on April 11 and 13

Udaipur, April 8 – The city of Udaipur is all set to witness a vibrant celebration of literature and culture with two major events scheduled for April 11 and 13, under the banner of Mewar Talk Fest 3.1. The events are being jointly organized by Vishva Samvad Kendra and Akhil Bharatiya Sahitya Parishad.

In a ceremony held on Tuesday, Divisional Commissioner and Administrator of Rajasthan Sahitya Akademi, Ms. Pragya Kevalramani, officially unveiled the posters of both upcoming events. She extended her best wishes and expressed confidence that such initiatives would be well-received by the culturally inclined citizens of Udaipur.

Celebrating 300 Years of Lokmata Ahilyabai Holkar

The first event, titled “Punyashlok”, is a dramatic presentation commemorating the 300th birth anniversary of Lokmata Ahilyabai Holkar. This theatrical tribute will take place on April 11 at 6:30 PM at Darpan Auditorium, Shilpgram, and is directed by N.K. Pant and Arun Shekhar Pant of Drama Forum, Mumbai. The program is being supported by the West Zone Cultural Centre and Vishva Samvad Kendra.

Literary Dialogue on Hanuman for Hanuman Jayanti

The second event will be a literary discussion titled “Hanu Pragya Prabandhan” organized on April 13 at 11 AM at the Rajasthan Sahitya Akademi auditorium, Sector 4, Udaipur, in honor of Hanuman Jayanti. Discussions will be held on two books: ‘Mahabharat ke Hanuman’ by Anshu Harsh and ‘Vartaman Mein Hanuman’ by Chandresh Taylor. The literary dialogue will be led by Kapil Paliwal.

Organizers Share Event Vision

Senior social worker Madanmohan Tank, associated with Vishva Samvad Kendra, briefed the Divisional Commissioner about the background of the events. Organizing committee members including Vikas Chhajed, Sunil Khatik, Ruchi Shrimali, and Kapil Paliwal were present at the launch ceremony.

Program coordinator Sunil Khatik emphasized that these events aim to foster a deeper appreciation for India’s rich literary and cultural heritage. Both events are free and open to the public.
