Udaipur, August 12 – In a crackdown on anti-social elements misusing social media, Ogna Police Station in Udaipur district arrested three accused for creating fear among the public by uploading videos of hooliganism under the name ‘007’ on social media. Police also seized two motorcycles from their possession.

Acting on the directions of Udaipur Superintendent of Police Yogesh Goyal to keep strict watch on individuals posting photos and videos with weapons and engaging in acts of intimidation online, Station House Officer Ramavatar Meena and his team carried out the operation under the supervision of Additional SP Anjana Sukhwal (Kherwada) and Deputy SP Netrapal Singh (Jhadol Circle).
The arrested accused were found wearing T-shirts printed with the words “007 Gangland” and producing videos showcasing acts of intimidation, which they uploaded to social media platforms to create fear among the public. They have been booked under Sections 126 and 170 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
Police are continuing efforts to trace other associates of the accused. Authorities have urged parents to keep a close watch on their children’s social media activities and ensure they stay away from such criminal elements. The police have assured that constant surveillance of social media will continue to curb such activities.
