Action Taken Against Properties in Savina Sub-City Center and Bhupalpura
Udaipur – The Udaipur Municipal Corporation (UMC) has taken strict action against two commercial properties for non-payment of Urban Development (UD) tax, sealing both buildings after multiple notices were ignored.

Municipal Commissioner Leads Enforcement Action
Municipal Commissioner Ram Prakash confirmed that the corporation sealed the properties due to long-standing tax arrears, shutting down commercial operations at both locations.
Key Properties Sealed:
1️⃣ Maruti Suzuki (Commercial), Savina Sub-City Center – Outstanding UD tax: ₹6,76,923
2️⃣ Talesara Chamber, Bhupalpura – Outstanding UD tax: ₹10,25,055
Total unpaid UD tax: ₹17,01,978
The UMC’s enforcement team, accompanied by police personnel, sealed both properties, effectively halting their commercial activities.
Strict Action Against Tax Defaulters
According to the Municipal Commissioner, the Urban Development & Autonomous Governance Department’s 2007 notification mandates that all UD tax dues from 2007 to 2023 be cleared. Despite repeated notices and reminders, the property owners failed to provide any satisfactory reason for non-payment.
The UMC’s Revenue Officer, Nitesh Bhatnagar, confirmed that a final notice was served, but the firms did not comply, leading to the seizure of the properties.
Officials Present During the Action:
✅ Assistant Administrative Officer Vinod Agrawal
✅ Revenue Officer Nitesh Bhatnagar
✅ Local police for enforcement support
Municipal Corporation’s Firm Stand on Tax Collection
The Udaipur Municipal Corporation has made it clear that strict action will continue against defaulters, ensuring compliance with urban development tax regulations. Property owners are advised to clear pending dues immediately to avoid similar actions, including seizure and closure of commercial operations.
