Enforcement Action on Tax Defaulters

The action was carried out under a special recovery campaign led by Revenue Officer Nitesh Bhatnagar, on the directive of Municipal Commissioner Ram Prakash. As per Bhatnagar, a team led by Assistant Administrative Officer Vinod Agrawal sealed the property owned by Rajkumar Tarachand Patel, after repeated notices and no satisfactory response from the owner.

“The total UD tax outstanding against ‘Janak Vatika’ stood at ₹19,58,370. Despite multiple notices, the property owner failed to clear the dues or provide a valid explanation,” said Bhatnagar.

Commercial Activities Halted

The sealing of Janak Vatika has led to a complete shutdown of all commercial operations at the premises. Officials locked the property to prevent further use until dues are cleared.

Commissioner Ram Prakash has reiterated that no tax defaulter will be spared, and all pending UD taxes will be recovered as per state government directives.

“Property owners should settle their dues in time to avoid punitive action and also avail benefits under tax rebate schemes,” the Commissioner warned.
