Udaipur Hosts 12th Inter-Divisional Civil Services Sports Competition

Udaipur, March 5: The 12th Inter-Divisional Civil Services Sports Competition commenced with enthusiasm and sportsmanship at the Maharana Pratap Sports Complex in Udaipur, known as the city of lakes. District Collector Namit Mehta inaugurated the event by hoisting the flag and administering an oath to the athletes to participate with spirit and discipline.

The opening ceremony, held at the cricket stadium within the sports complex, was attended by several dignitaries, including Commissioner of Urban Development Navneet Kumar, Additional Divisional Commissioner C.R. Devasi, ADM Deependra Singh Rathore, Additional Commissioner of Devasthan Giteshshri Malviya, and social workers such as Gajpal Singh and Chandragupt Singh Chauhan.

District Collector Mehta welcomed the teams from all divisions and wished them luck in the competition. The guests emphasized the event as a platform to enhance sports talent and mutual coordination among participants. District Sports Officer Dr. Mahesh Paliwal provided insights into the competition, revealing that a total of eight teams, including one from the Jaipur headquarters, are participating, with over 800 athletes showcasing their skills. Various sports events, including table tennis, cricket, volleyball, basketball, tennis, badminton, and kabaddi, are scheduled to take place. ADM Deependra Singh Rathore concluded the ceremony with a vote of thanks.
