Udaipur Gets New City Buses on Two New Routes

Udaipur, August 10: To improve urban transportation and provide affordable travel options, the Udaipur Municipal Corporation has introduced eight new city buses on two routes (Badi to Geetanjali Hospital and Chetak to Kaladwas). These buses will benefit people from nearby rural areas, including workers, employees, and students. On Saturday, Deputy CM Dr. Premchand Bairwa, who was on a short visit to Udaipur, officially launched the buses by performing a traditional prayer and flagging them off at the Municipal Corporation premises.

In his speech, Dr. Bairwa mentioned that the new city buses would make commuting easier for Udaipur residents and significantly improve the city’s connectivity. He expressed confidence that this bus service would not only provide convenient and affordable transportation for passengers but also enhance the overall connectivity of the region.

Bus Routes: The Chairman of the Municipal Corporation’s Garage Committee, Manohar Chaudhary, shared the routes for the new city buses. The buses running between Badi and Geetanjali Hospital will travel from Badi – Dewali – Fatehpura – Chetak – Court Chauraha – Delhi Gate – Surajpol – Sevashram – Sectors 3 to 6 – Satellite Hospital – Geetanjali Hospital to Eklingpura. The buses on the Chetak to Kaladwas route will go from the Chetak Hill Bus Stand – Court Chauraha – Shastri Circle – Ayad Bridge – Mahasatiya Chauraha – Thokar Chauraha – Akashvani – Madri Industrial Area to Kaladwas. The fare for these buses will range from Rs. 5 to Rs. 20, with a 50% discount for senior citizens, differently-abled individuals, and students.
