Training Aircraft Crashes Again in Maharashtra’s Baramati

Baramati, May 13 (Udaipur Kiran) — A two-seater training aircraft crashed near Gojubavi village in Baramati after reportedly developing a technical problem during a training flight.

Aircraft Crashes

Local administration officials and rescue teams rushed to the spot soon after receiving information about the incident.

According to preliminary information, the aircraft was being used for pilot training when it made a hard landing and crashed in the area.

Pune Superintendent of Police Sandeep Gill said the training aircraft suffered a hard landing in the Gojubavi village region, leading to the accident.

The aircraft reportedly belonged to Redbird Flight Training Organization. Another aircraft linked to the same training organisation had also met with an accident earlier this year during an air ambulance flight travelling from Ranchi to New Delhi.

That crash had taken place in Chatra district of Jharkhand, where all seven people onboard lost their lives.

The latest incident has again raised concerns over aviation safety in the Baramati region, where a previous aircraft incident involving Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar had also drawn attention.

Further investigation into the cause of the crash is underway.
