Three PWD Employees Held in Dausa for Accepting ₹6,000 Bribe

Jaipur, October 17 (Udaipur Kiran): The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) Dausa unit on Friday caught three employees of the Public Works Department (PWD), Lalsot division, red-handed while accepting a bribe of ₹6,000 in exchange for issuing a D-Class contractor licence.

Those arrested include Assistant Administrative Officer Samundar Singh, Class IV employee (contractual) Vishnu Kumar Saini, and Computer Operator (contractual) Hansraj of the PWD Lalsot division.

According to Additional Director General of Police, ACB, Smita Srivastava, the bureau received a complaint on October 15, 2025, alleging that Samundar Singh and Hansraj were demanding ₹5,000 and ₹2,500 respectively on behalf of the Executive Engineer to issue the complainant’s contractor licence.

Under the supervision of DIG Rajesh Singh (ACB Jaipur Range) and led by Deputy Superintendent of Police Naval Kishore, a verification of the complaint was carried out on October 16, 2025. During the process, Samundar Singh accepted ₹1,500 from the complainant and demanded an additional ₹3,500 for the Executive Engineer, while Hansraj demanded ₹2,500 as a bribe.

Following this, on October 17, 2025, a trap was laid. Samundar Singh received ₹3,500 from the complainant and handed it to Class IV employee Vishnu Kumar Saini, while Hansraj accepted ₹2,500 and kept it in his trouser pocket. All three were caught red-handed, and the total bribe amount of ₹6,000 was recovered from their possession.

The accused are being interrogated, and further investigation is underway. The ACB has registered a case under the Prevention of Corruption Act.
