In a heartfelt post on RCB’s official social media platform on Wednesday, Kohli wrote, “4th June should have been the happiest moment in our franchise’s history, but it turned into a tragedy. I am praying for the families who lost their loved ones and for the fans who were injured. We will move forward with caution, respect, and responsibility.”

The stampede occurred during celebrations held at Chinnaswamy Stadium after RCB’s IPL victory, when a massive crowd gathered outside. The chaos resulted in 11 deaths and left more than 50 injured. Police filed cases against RCB, the Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA), and event management company DNA Entertainment.
