Temperature Rises Again in Udaipur After Brief Relief

Udaipur, May 8 (Udaipur Kiran): After two days of relief due to changing weather conditions, temperatures in Udaipur rose again on Thursday with both day and night temperatures recording a sharp increase.

According to the Meteorological Department, the maximum temperature in the city was recorded at 39.3 degrees Celsius, while the minimum temperature settled at 22 degrees Celsius. A day earlier, the maximum temperature was 37.1 degrees and the minimum was 19.2 degrees, showing a rise of 2.2 degrees during the day and 2.8 degrees at night.

Despite the increase, temperatures remained below normal levels. Strong sunlight and heat were experienced throughout the day, and many residents and tourists gathered near Pichola Lake in the evening to enjoy the cool breeze.

Weather experts said moisture-laden winds from the Arabian Sea and the Bay of Bengal are currently controlling the heat, preventing temperatures from rising sharply over the next few days. A further rise in temperature is expected once these moist winds weaken.

The Meteorological Department has not predicted any major weather changes in the Udaipur division in the coming days.

The department stated that thunderstorm and rainfall activities are likely to reduce across most parts of Rajasthan in the coming days. However, northeastern regions may witness moderate thunderstorm activity and light rainfall at isolated places over the next one to two days.

A rise of 3 to 5 degrees Celsius is expected in most parts of the state during the next three to four days. On May 9, temperatures in parts of the Jodhpur division may reach close to 45 degrees Celsius, and a fresh heatwave spell may begin in western Rajasthan.
