Tech Mahindra Shares Slip After 4% Drop in Q2 Consolidated Net Profit

Mumbai, October 15 (Udaipur Kiran): Shares of Tech Mahindra traded lower after the IT major reported a decline of over 4% in its consolidated net profit for the July–September quarter (Q2FY26). The stock was trading at Rs. 1454.20, down by 13.95 points or 0.95% from its previous close of Rs. 1468.15 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 1475.00 and recorded a high of Rs. 1479.00 and a low of Rs. 1440.90 during the session. A total of 71,412 shares changed hands on the counter. The BSE Group ‘A’ stock, with a face value of Rs. 5, has touched a 52-week high of Rs. 1807.40 (12-Dec-2024) and a 52-week low of Rs. 1209.70 (07-Apr-2025).

During the past week, the stock traded between Rs. 1479.40 and Rs. 1439.35. The company’s current market capitalisation stands at Rs. 1,42,249.97 crore. Promoters hold 35.00% stake in the company, while institutional and non-institutional investors hold 55.58% and 9.43% respectively.

For the second quarter ended September 30, 2025, Tech Mahindra’s standalone net profit fell 8.18% to Rs. 1,175.70 crore from Rs. 1,280.40 crore in the same period last year. However, total income grew 3.07% to Rs. 12,314.00 crore, compared to Rs. 11,947.30 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous year.

On a consolidated basis, the company posted a 4.45% drop in net profit at Rs. 1,194.50 crore, against Rs. 1,250.10 crore in Q2FY25. Consolidated total income rose 1.45% to Rs. 14,034.90 crore, from Rs. 13,834.70 crore a year earlier.
