Suspect Arrested in Greater Noida Attack Case

Greater Noida, May 12: The police in Greater Noida have successfully arrested a wanted suspect involved in a deadly attack and assault case. The accused was apprehended with an axe, which was reportedly used in the incident. Following the arrest, police are now searching for other absconding suspects linked to the case.

According to police reports, the incident occurred on April 24, 2026. The victims had filed a complaint at the Jarcha police station, alleging that a group of individuals attacked them and their brothers with the intent to kill, physically assaulted them, and issued death threats. Based on this complaint, a case was registered at the Jarcha police station.

Given the seriousness of the incident, police have been actively pursuing the suspects. On May 12, 2026, acting on confidential information and local intelligence, the Jarcha police arrested the wanted suspect, Anuj, near the bridge in Gram Dayanagar. The axe used in the incident was also recovered based on his indication.

The arrested suspect has been identified as Anuj, son of the late Sarvesh Kumar, a resident of Gram Dhanpura in the Sikandarabad area of Bulandshahr. He is reported to be around 28 years old. Police officials noted that Anuj has a lengthy criminal history, with several serious cases registered against him in the past.

According to police records, Anuj faces charges including assault, threats, vandalism, attempted murder, and serious offenses under the POCSO Act. From 2017 to 2023, multiple cases have been filed against him at the Sikandarabad police station in Bulandshahr.

Police officials also mentioned that one suspect has already been arrested in this case, while efforts to apprehend other absconding suspects are ongoing.
