State government fails to protect dalit and tribal daughters: Prakash

Ranchi, Mar 11 : Jharkhand BJP Chief and Rajya Sabha MP Deepak Prakash has accused the state government of failing to provide security to the girls. He said that daughters of Jharkhand are feeling unsafe in the state. Prakash said that in just 26 month’s nearly 3700 incidents of rape has taken place in the state. The BJP leader said that on an average every day 5 girls are being subjected to the henius act but despite that the government is running away from providing security to the daughter’s. Prakash said that criminals have lost fear of law. He said that it was unfortunate to note that maximum number of crimes are being committed against girls hailing from the dalits and tribal comm ties. He claimed that in the recent rape incident which took place in Petarwar the local police and administration is trying to suppress and divert the matter. He said what was unfortunate to note is that in incidents like rape and mob lynching the state government is looking the matter from the mirror of appeasement. He said that instead of ensuring justice to the victim and their family the criminals and accused are being felicitated. The BJP leader said that in case of henious crimes the state government is taking action after looking at the caste and religion. He said that the party will launch a series of agitation if the government fails to take concrete step to provide safety and security to the daughters of the state. AK KK
