Mumbai, 13 November (Udaipur Kiran)। SpiceJet shares gained over 2% in Thursday’s trade after the airline announced a significant fleet expansion with the induction of five additional Boeing 737 aircraft, including a Boeing 737 MAX.

The stock traded at ₹36.35, up ₹0.87 or 2.45% from its previous close of ₹35.48. It opened at ₹34.10 and touched a high of ₹36.40. Total traded volume stood at 97.34 lakh shares. The carrier’s market cap is ₹5,032.14 crore.
The BSE Group ‘A’ stock has recorded a 52-week high of ₹63.40 (28 Nov 2024) and a 52-week low of ₹28.13 (8 Oct 2025). Promoters hold 33.45%, while institutions and non-institutions hold 13.30% and 53.24% respectively.
Fleet Strength Rises to 35 Aircraft
With the latest induction, SpiceJet has added 15 aircraft in a little over a month:

14 aircraft on damp lease (including two 737 MAX)

1 Boeing 737 MAX reactivated from its grounded fleet
All five newly added planes have begun commercial operations, strengthening connectivity on high-demand domestic and international routes ahead of the winter travel rush.
The expansion comes at a crucial time as the airline’s daily flights have jumped from 100 to 176 per day as of the latest update.
SpiceJet remains one of India’s earliest private-sector aviation players and continues to focus on rapid capacity enhancement to meet festive and holiday season demand.
