Chittorgarh, May 13 (Udaipur Kiran) — In view of the increasing passenger rush during the summer vacation season, Indian Railways has announced a one-way special train service between Madar in Rajasthan and Bandra Terminus in Maharashtra.
The additional train service is expected to provide relief to passengers travelling to Rajasthan, Gujarat and Mumbai, including travellers from Chittorgarh district.
According to North Western Railway Chief Public Relations Officer Amit Sudarshan, train number 09631 Madar–Bandra Terminus Special will operate on May 15.
The train will depart from Madar Railway Station at 10:15 AM and reach Bandra Terminus at 6:30 AM the following day. The service will run for only one trip.
Railway officials said passenger traffic towards Mumbai and Gujarat has increased significantly during the summer holidays, prompting the operation of additional trains to ensure confirmed seats and smoother travel for passengers.
The special train will halt at several major stations including Ajmer Railway Station, Nasirabad Railway Station, Bijainagar Railway Station, Mandal Railway Station, Bhilwara Railway Station, Chittorgarh Railway Station, Mandsaur Railway Station, Ratlam Railway Station, Vadodara Railway Station, Surat Railway Station, Vapi Railway Station and Borivali Railway Station.
Railways said the train will connect Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat and Maharashtra. A total of 22 coaches will be attached to the train, including 18 sleeper coaches, two general coaches and two guard coaches.
Officials added that the additional coaches will help accommodate more passengers during the peak travel season.
