‘Special Intensive Revision Programme 2026’: No Documents Needed, Voter Mapping Reaches 68% in Udaipur District

Udaipur, November 8 (Udaipur Kiran): The ‘Special Intensive Revision Programme 2026’ (SIR) is progressing rapidly across Udaipur district, with over 68% of voters successfully mapped to the previous SIR voter list. Officials expect the number to rise further as field operations continue across all seven assembly constituencies in the district.

Special Intensive Revision Programme 2026

On Saturday, Booth Level Officers (BLOs) visited households to distribute enumeration forms and complete voter mapping using the BLO mobile app. Electoral Registration Officers (EROs) and Assistant EROs also conducted field verifications to monitor on-ground progress. During review meetings, EROs instructed BLOs to accelerate the process wherever delays were observed.

Deputy District Election Officer Deependra Singh Rathore reviewed the enumeration process in Salawas village of Kurabad, interacting with voters and explaining the purpose and importance of the revision programme. He directed BLOs and supervisors to carry out the mapping exercise in mission mode for timely completion.

Rathore stated that voters already listed in the previous SIR voter rolls of any state will not be required to submit any supporting documents during this process. If a voter’s name is not found in the earlier list but their parents or grandparents were registered, the mapping is being verified based on authentic family relationships.

Easy Process: No Documents Required

The process has been designed for the convenience of voters. BLOs are visiting every household with two copies of the enumeration form, part of which is pre-printed with details such as the voter’s name, EPIC number, address, list serial number, part number, and assembly constituency.

Voters are only required to fill in additional details like the names of parents or spouse, mobile number, and, if applicable, details from the previous SIR voter list. Those whose names were not on the previous list can provide information about relatives (parents or grandparents) who were listed, ensuring seamless voter mapping.

Rathore further urged all eligible citizens to submit the filled enumeration form along with a recent passport-size color photograph to their BLOs. He emphasized that accurate and updated voter lists are essential for strengthening democracy and fulfilling every citizen’s electoral duty.
