Udaipur, November 8 (Udaipur Kiran): A new road safety initiative titled ‘Mission Road Safety – Jeevan Raksha 365’ has been launched in Udaipur under the joint collaboration of the Transport Department, Traffic Police, and Aadhar Foundation. The mission aims to bring down the number of road accidents by encouraging behavioural changes among the public and promoting responsible driving habits throughout the year.

Aadhar Foundation’s Narayan Chaudhary informed that the program will initially focus on connecting the general public, followed by outreach to school and college students, local clubs, and community groups. Regular vehicle inspections and checks on underage driving will also be conducted as part of the initiative.
Regional Transport Officer Gyandev Vishwakarma emphasized the need for citizens to take personal responsibility by following traffic rules. He said that alongside public awareness efforts, the department will work closely with traffic police to ensure compliance.
Traffic Deputy Superintendent Ashok Aanjna highlighted the importance of maintaining safe driving speeds, warning that e-challans are now automatically sent to offenders’ mobile phones through advanced technology. He appealed to the public to “drive carefully, stay safe, and help others stay safe too.”
