Spandanam 2026 Celebrated with Cultural Grandeur at Pacific University

Udaipur, May 5, 2026 (Udaipur Kiran): The Faculty of Education’s annual fest “Spandanam 2026” was held with great enthusiasm, dignity, and cultural vibrancy on Tuesday. The event, which began at 10 am, impressed attendees with its well-organised arrangements and engaging atmosphere.

The programme commenced with a warm welcome of guests, followed by the ceremonial lighting of the lamp and a soulful Saraswati Vandana that created a spiritual ambience in the auditorium.

Chief Guest Lt Gen N K Singh, in his address, described education as the foundation of nation-building. He emphasised discipline, dedication, and commitment as key to success, urging students to set high ideals and work consistently towards their goals.

Programme Chair Prof Hemant Kothari, Vice Chancellor of Pacific University, highlighted the importance of modern education systems, innovation, and technological advancement. He encouraged students to evolve with time and apply knowledge in practical life.

Dr Kapilesh Tiwari, Principal of Pacific Teacher Training College, delivered the welcome address and shared the institution’s achievements and the objectives of “Spandanam.” He stressed that education should focus on overall development, combining quality learning, cultural activities, and moral values.

Dr Hemant Pandya, Principal of Pacific College of Physical Education, spoke about the importance of discipline, health, and a balanced lifestyle. Vice Principal Dr Jitendra Singh Chundawat emphasised the need to maintain a balance between education and sports while adopting a positive and disciplined approach in life.

Cultural performances by students added vibrancy to the event, with solo and group dance presentations showcasing India’s rich traditions and captivating the audience.

During the prize distribution ceremony, students who excelled in academic and co-curricular activities were honoured. Outstanding sportspersons were also recognised, including South Asian Handball Championship winner Virbhadra Singh Chauhan and national Jujitsu medalist Ishan Vaishnav.

The event was effectively anchored by Dr Kripa Jain, while the vote of thanks was delivered by Dr Hemant Pandya. The programme concluded with the national anthem, leaving a lasting impression on all attendees.
