New Delhi, October 27 (Udaipur Kiran): In today’s fast-paced life, many people often wake up feeling stiffness and fatigue in their bodies. Prolonged sitting in front of computers or mobile phones, irregular eating habits, and lack of adequate sleep are among the major reasons behind this discomfort. Experts suggest that including yoga in daily routine can be an effective way to restore energy and flexibility.

According to the Ministry of AYUSH, yoga is not just a physical exercise but a holistic lifestyle practice that helps maintain harmony between the body, mind, and spirit. Regular yoga practice not only strengthens and improves muscle flexibility but also keeps vital organs like the heart, lungs, and digestive system healthy, while reducing mental stress.
The ministry notes that one of the biggest benefits of yoga is that it enhances muscle stretching and joint movement, keeping the body agile and active.
1. Parvatasana (Mountain Pose):
This posture helps improve flexibility of the spine and stretches the muscles of the shoulders and arms. Raising the hands upward increases blood circulation, reduces muscular stiffness, and revitalises the body. Regular practice of Parvatasana helps reduce fatigue and keeps you energised throughout the day.
2. Shalabhasana (Locust Pose):
Performed by lying on the stomach and lifting the legs upward, this pose strengthens the back and lower spine muscles. It also enhances flexibility and provides relief from back pain and fatigue caused by prolonged sitting. The pose improves blood circulation and supports heart health as well.
3. Naukasana (Boat Pose):
This posture focuses on improving balance and core strength. By lifting both arms and legs simultaneously, the abdominal and chest muscles get stretched, stimulating the digestive system and boosting overall energy. Regular practice of Naukasana enhances body balance, making standing or walking for long durations easier.
Incorporating these simple yoga poses into your morning routine can help reduce stiffness, increase flexibility, and promote a sense of freshness and alertness throughout the day.
