District : In a deeply disturbing incident from Rajasthan’s Sikar district, a man has been arrested for brutally murdering his five-month-old twin daughters and burying their bodies in a deserted plot two kilometers from his home. The chilling act took place in Neem Ka Thana area on Thursday night and has triggered outrage across the region.

Bodies Recovered After Family Tip-Off
According to police officials, the crime came to light after the children’s maternal uncle, Sunil Yadav, alerted the Kotwali police station around 11:30 PM on Thursday. He reported that the accused, Ashok Kumar Yadav, had killed the infants and buried their remains near the Collectorate area.
A team comprising police, SDM Rajveer Yadav, and forensic experts rushed to the site and sealed it off overnight. On Friday morning around 8:30 AM, the bodies were exhumed and sent for autopsy by a medical board.
Family Pressure for a Male Child Led to the Crime
The investigation revealed that the motive behind the heinous crime was the family’s persistent desire for a male child. The accused already had a five-year-old daughter. When twin girls were born on November 4, 2024, tensions within the family escalated. On Thursday, another argument erupted, leading Ashok to grab both infants by their legs and smash them onto the floor. Both died instantly due to the impact.
The children’s maternal grandfather, Kajodmal from Sirohi village, stated that Ashok had been abusing his wife Anita since their marriage in 2016. The family had tried multiple times to mediate the conflict, but the husband and his parents – retired teacher Naval Kishore and Banarsi Devi – continued to pressure Anita to bear a son.
