Udaipur, May 2 (Udaipur Kiran): A special training and awareness programme was organised at the administrative building of RNT Medical College on Saturday to promote the use of the self-enumeration option under the first phase of Census 2027.

Officials informed that the first phase, covering house listing and housing census, is being conducted from May 1 to May 15, 2026. During this period, citizens have been given the option of self-enumeration. Officers and employees of the medical college and its affiliated offices have been directed to submit or update their family details online through the designated portal.
RNT Principal and Controller Dr Rahul Jain said that the census is an important national exercise. He noted that the self-enumeration option simplifies the process, enhances transparency, and ensures accuracy of data. He added that all staff members have been instructed to mandatorily update their family details on the portal within the specified timeline. He emphasised that active participation is essential for the success of this national mission.
During the session, Assistant Statistics Officer Prakash Chandra, teacher Aslam, and Information Assistant Bhavesh Khatri briefed participants on technical aspects. Additional Administrative Officer Bharat Sharma and Mana Lal Dangi presented a live demonstration of the portal’s usage.
Additional Principal Dr Kirti urged all officers and employees to take a leading role in the campaign.
