Sea Guardian managed the entire coast which is 4.5 km of Juhu and versova beach, silver Beach was one of the prone drowning zone were every year there was 10 to 30 drowning cases, by 2010, Sea Guardian brought this drowning to Zero. Seeing to the drowning cases of young children, Sea Guardian found the root cause and started mission No Bunking so far, Sea Guardian had returned 3000 boys and girls back to school if they are found on the beach in school uniform.
Sea Guardian Lifeguard always worked in the interest of the people visiting Juhu Beach during all important festival like – Ganesh Visarjan, Holi, chath puja, Dussehra etc. Sea Guardian started first-aid camp for the school children’s so that they can protect themselves and also help others. For awareness about CPR, training was conducted for the college students by our senior life guards.
Sea Guardian played important role to cleaning the beach with NGO and BMC monitored, we assure that the Beach should be clean every day so visitors get good and healthy environment and enjoy their routine walk, exercise, yoga etc.
Sea Guardian play important role during rainy season also, for keeping people away from rough climate and high tide we always requested people to put Nirmalya in the Nirmalya Kalash provided by BMC. Sea Guardian trains people in life safety and rescue at the Silver Beach.
Talking about facing the problems for beach Mr. Sunil Kanojia (President Sea Guardian Life Guard) Says – “When we stop people to throwing wastage, some times some literate persons are start argument with us, at least they should know how to clean beach or how to cooperate with life guards, because we all are doing this for our beach and sea, and we are making city clean, then why don’t you.”
Aditya Kumar(Voulenteer Life Guard) Says – “At least Youth should be understand the value of such a beautiful beach, even by law there is a crime to smoke and drinking alcohol in Public Places, So one shouldn’t be do this on beach area. You are not in Goa, that you are taking a beer /Alcohol bottle and start drinking on beach, you are in Mumbai, make our city clean.”
