
Jaipur : On the occasion of 78th Independence Day, Lt Gen Manjinder Singh, Army Commander, South Western Command hoisted the National Flag and laid wreath at Prerna Sthal, Jaipur Military Station paying tribute to the soldiers who made supreme sacrifice for their motherland.
The Army Commander extended warm greetings to all ranks, veterans, Defence Civil Employees & Families on this momentous occasion. Sapta Shakti Command celebrated the 78th Independence Day with pride, patriotic fervour and paid tribute to the freedom fighters whose sacrifices have made it possible for Viksit Bharat to carve a niche for itself at the World stage.
A Large Number of events and activities were conducted as part of the Independence Day Celebration including Military Band Displays, Bike Rallies, Cycle Rallies, Plantation Drives,Tiranga Marches, Flag Hoisting and Wreath Laying. The Bike and Cycle rallies symbolised the Speed, Strength and Patriotism while the Tiranga Marches highlighted Unity, Fitness and Patriotism. Extensive Plantation drives were also carried out at various military stations including Hisar, Bikaner, Bathinda and Jaipur.
