Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra in for review

Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra

The Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra arrived at the office in at least three separate boxes. The watch comes in its own box, the “S/M/L” band comes in its own box and comes in a larger box. The watch also features a USB-C to wireless charger.

The great thing about the Galaxy Watch Ultra is its similarity to the Apple Watch Ultra 2, but aside from the same buttons, orange accents, and band color, this device is completely different.

First, the Apple Watch Ultra has a square frame with a round bezel and display inside, while the Apple Watch Ultra’s display is completely rectangular.

The Galaxy Watch Ultra doesn’t have a physical rotating bezel, which is a major point of contention among Galaxy Watch fans, but it does have a bezel that rotates via software when you move your finger over the edge.

There are three buttons on the side of the Galaxy Watch Ultra. The middle button is a new “hot button” that opens the training menu by default. Of course you choose this button as the home button, but it feels unnatural at first. You might also expect it to spin, but it doesn’t.

A note about the vibration intensity of the Galaxy Watch Ultra – it is very strong.

It’s a big watch – it doesn’t have a strap and feels big and heavy for a smartwatch. However, once worn it sits well on the average wrist and doesn’t feel as bulky as it looks.

The Galaxy Watch Ultra uses the new Exynos W1000 chipset, which immediately impresses. Everything on this watch is crisp and clear – even clearer than the Galaxy Watch6 series.

These are just some of our first impressions. I’ll take some time to test it!
