Samsung Galaxy S25+ will likely be accompanied by the base Galaxy S25 and the Galaxy S25 Ultra sometime during early next year. The leaked new smartphone is going to hit the market as an upgrade over the Galaxy S24+, announced in January this year. CAD-based design renders and details about the purported battery have been leaked for the device earlier as well. The US version of the smartphone has recently appeared on one of the most popular benchmarking websites. Interestingly, the US version of the Galaxy S25 Ultra was reportedly spotted on this webpage as well.
Samsung Galaxy S25+ Geekbench Listing
A Samsung handset with model number SM-S936U has been spotted on Geekbench. The “U” indicates that this is the US variant of the purported handset. It sports an octa-core Qualcomm chipset with two cores set at 4.19GHz, while six cores churn at 2.90GHz. As listed, a chipset with an integrated Adreno 830 GPU accompanies this chipset.
The chipset design does seem to point towards it being the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 SoC, which is reportedly going to release in October. Curiously, prior leaks have further claimed that all variants of the Samsung Galaxy S25 series are going to be sporting this chipset. It’s also going to feature Exynos 2500 versions of the series. Traditionally, the highest-tier Galaxy devices launch with Qualcomm chipsets in the United States.
From the benchmarking site, it is reported that the Samsung Galaxy S25+ scored 3,054 and 9,224 on the single core and multi-core tests, respectively. The Geekbench listing of the leaked Galaxy S25+ recently indicates that it will likely be equipped with 12GB of RAM and Android 15.
CAD-based renders of the Samsung Galaxy S25+ appeared earlier with the leaks. Apparently, they would be just upgraded versions of the current Galaxy S24+ with added additional rings around the three rear camera-cutouts. This was also observed in a variant of Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6.
The Samsung Galaxy S25+ is tipped to be supported by a 4,755mAh-rated battery with a typical value of 4,900mAh. It will just like the prior Galaxy S24+. It is said to be tipped to support 45W wired fast charging.
