Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra Tipped to Feature a Triple Rear Camera Setup

Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra, equipped with a 200-megapixel rear camera, was released in January. An early leak suggests that the Galaxy S25 Ultra’s camera will get a major overhaul next year. Samsung is reportedly testing next year’s flagship with three rear cameras instead of four.

The upcoming model may lack the 10-megapixel telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom like the current phone. The 200-megapixel primary sensor is expected to remain.

Tipster Sperandio4Tech (@ISAQUES81) reported that they tested the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra on the X with three rear cameras – the main sensor, an ultra-wide-angle unit and a periscopic zoom system. The smartphone’s large 10-megapixel telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom is not expected to be included in next year’s flagship.

This will be a major hardware difference compared to its predecessors. The Galaxy S24 Ultra has four rear cameras: a 200-megapixel wide-angle camera, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera, a 50-megapixel telephoto lens with 5x optical zoom, and a 10-megapixel telephoto camera. Magnification.

The Galaxy S25 Ultra prototype is said to have the same 200MP main camera, but could improve its light-capturing capabilities. It is said to be equipped with the same 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens, and no changes apply to this prototype.

The periscope camera was tested with a large sensor and variable zoom. Samsung is testing the Periscope camera with two fixed focal lengths: the first with 4x and 5x zoom, and the second with 6x and 7x zoom.

Since this is a prototype, it is recommended to take this rumor with a grain of salt. Some leaks suggest that the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra will receive minor changes compared to its predecessors.
