Udaipur : Exciting news for travelers and pilgrims! The Rajasthan government, under the Parvat Mala Yojana, plans to construct 16 ropeways across 12 districts, including a captivating connection between Roothi Rani Mahal and Hawa Mahal on Jaisamand Lake in Salumbar.
According to the information, recently in Delhi, Union Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari discussed the plan to set up ropeways in Rajasthan under the Parvat Mata Yojana with Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma and Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari. After this, a plan was prepared to set up ropeways at 16 places in 12 districts of Rajasthan.
For this, proposals will be prepared and sent to the central government, from where work is expected to start after getting approval.
The state government has entrusted the Public Works Department and the Tourism Department with the task of identifying the location for setting up the ropeway, which has selected 16 locations in 12 districts of the state in five days and sent the list to the government.
In the first phase, the Public Works Department and NHAI will work together to set up a total of 16 ropeways in Sawai Madhopur, Bundi, Jaipur, Salumbar, Rajsamand, Sikar, Jodhpur, Dausa, Baran, Banswara, Ajmer and Chittorgarh.
The state government believes that with the setting up of ropeways, it will be easier for people to visit many religious places in Rajasthan, and it will also boost tourism in the state.
