A Three-Day Cultural Extravaganza Celebrating Spring
Udaipur, February 25, 2025: The West Zone Cultural Centre (WZCC), Udaipur, is set to host the three-day cultural festival ‘Ritu Vasant’ at Shilpgram from February 28 to March 2. The festival, dedicated to celebrating the arrival of spring, will feature renowned classical musicians and dancers mesmerizing audiences with their spectacular performances.
WZCC Director Furqan Khan announced that the festival will be held at the Open-Air Theatre in Shilpgram, starting daily at 7 PM, with free entry for all attendees.

Day-Wise Performances & Highlights
🎶 Day 1 – February 28: A Melodic Opening Night
✔ Performance by Pandit Rajendra Vaishnav – The renowned classical vocalist from Jodhpur will inaugurate the festival with a soulful Hindustani classical recital.
✔ Kathak Dance by Shama Bhate & Group – Pune-based Shama Bhate, also known as ‘Shama Tai’, will present a captivating Kathak performance showcasing both traditional and contemporary elements of the art form.
🎵 Day 2 – March 1: A Harmonious Blend of Music & Dance
✔ Performance by Dr. Praveen Gaonkar (Goa) – The noted Hindustani classical vocalist will be accompanied by:
- Rohidas Parab on tabla
- Subhash Faterpekar on harmonium
- Wasim Khan on sarangi
✔ Kathak Performance by Amit Gangani & Group – Eminent dancer Amit Gangani and his ensemble will bring grace and energy to the stage with an expressive Kathak recital.
🎼 Day 3 – March 2: A Grand Finale with Jaipur & Delhi Artists
✔ Performance by Mohammad Aman Khan (Jaipur) – The acclaimed vocalist from Jaipur Gharana will perform an enchanting Hindustani classical concert.
✔ Bharatanatyam Dance by Kanak Sudhakar & Group – The renowned Bharatanatyam dancer from Delhi will conclude the festival with a dynamic and elegant presentation.
