Mumbai, December 22, 2024: Nearly 1,000 children from disadvantaged communities in Mumbai experienced a day of joy and excitement during the Reliance Foundation ESA Day at Jio Presents Hamleys Wonderland™. The event, part of Reliance Foundation’s Education and Sports for All (ESA) initiative, was organized to inspire children and provide them with memorable, enriching experiences.
Children, associated with non-governmental organizations supported by the Reliance Foundation, were treated to a host of fun-filled activities, games, and rides. Volunteers from Reliance played an instrumental role in ensuring the children had a truly “wonderful” day, participating in interactive activities designed to entertain and educate.
A Carnival of Fun and Learning
Held at the Jio World Garden, the carnival in association with Ajmera Realty featured an array of attractions, including:
- Monster Ride
- Hamleys Village
- Haunted Circus
- Ferris Wheel and Carousels
- Various engaging games and interactive quizzes
As part of Reliance Foundation’s Kahani, Kala, Khushi campaign, children participated in quizzes and storytelling sessions that highlighted inspiring stories of Indian achievers, blending entertainment with education.
Vantara: Promoting Animal Welfare
This year, the carnival introduced a new highlight: Vantara, Reliance Foundation’s animal welfare initiative. The Vantarian Rescue Rangers stall aimed to foster awareness about animal conservation and welfare among young visitors. Activities included:
- Educating children on preserving wildlife habitats
- Demonstrating techniques for freeing entangled birds
- Feeding rescued animals in human care
- Highlighting efforts to combat animal trafficking
Each child received a Vantara-themed animal toy and educational materials curated by Reliance Foundation, reinforcing the message of empathy and care for animals.
