Redmi Note 14 Series Teased to Come With IP68 Rating, Drop Resistant Body

The Redmi Note 14 series is said to be the successor to last year’s Redmi Note 13 series. The lineup, which is expected to include the Redmi Note 14, Redmi Note 14 Pro, and Redmi Note 14 Pro+, will debut in China later this month. Details of the launch are still being kept under wraps, but yesterday Redmi’s CEO announced a new line of Note phones, hinting at better durability, water and dust resistance, and longer battery life.

The launch of the Redmi Note 14 series seems to be confirmed

The CEO of the Redmi brand, Thomas Wang, confirmed on Weibo that the Redmi Note series of phones will soon bring significant improvements compared to previous models. According to the report, the next Note series, presumably the Redmi Note 14 series, will have IP68 water and dust resistance. For comparison: last year’s Redmi Note 13 Pro+ was rated IP68, while the vanilla Redmi Note 13 and Note 13 Pro were rated IP54.

Thomas said in a separate post on Weibo that the new Note series phones will have “much better drop resistance and battery life” than the recently launched iPhone 16 series.

The Redmi Note 13 Pro has a 5100mAh battery with 67W charging support, while the Redmi Note 13 Pro+ has a 5000mAh battery with 120W charging support. Based on Thomas’ statements, the Pro models should have a larger battery.

The Redmi Note 14 series recently appeared in the IMEI database, suggesting a possible September launch schedule. The Redmi Note 14 Pro is expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 SoC. It has a 1.5K resolution display and a triple rear camera with a 50-megapixel primary sensor. It is also available on the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) website under model number 24094RAD4.
