Udaipur, February 27, 2026 (Udaipur Kiran): South cinema’s popular pair Rashmika Mandanna and Vijay Deverakonda got married in a grand ceremony in the Lake City, turning their on-screen chemistry into a real-life partnership.
The wedding was held at Hotel Mementos Ekaaya, located in the Eklingji area. The entire venue was decorated with roses, orchids and tulip flowers. The mandap was built using raw banana trunks and large green leaves, symbolising South Indian culture.
The ceremony reflected a blend of Telugu and Kodava traditions. The wedding rituals began at 8 am amid Vedic chants. Rashmika’s parents presented coconuts, betel leaves, fruits, sweets and turmeric-kumkum to the groom’s family. Later, Vijay’s mother Madhavi Deverakonda adorned Rashmika with traditional bangles, formally accepting her as a daughter-in-law. In the evening, additional rituals were performed as per Kodava customs.
After the ceremony, the groom’s family distributed sweets outside the hotel to celebrate the occasion.
Rashmika was earlier seen with Ranbir Kapoor in the film Animal, while Vijay made his Hindi cinema debut with Liger.
The wedding was attended only by close family members and selected friends. Mehendi and haldi ceremonies were held a day before the wedding. A strict no-phone policy was implemented to maintain privacy. In the evening, a DJ night was organised, where DJ Ganesh (Ganesh Ranganathan) performed. Among the guests present were Rahul Ravindran, Sandeep Reddy Vanga, Ashika Ranganath, Tharun Bhascker, Kalyani Priyadarshan, Eesha Rebba and stylist Shravya Varma.
