Barmer Hits 34°C, February Weather Forecast Predicts Changes
Jaipur, January 30 : Rajasthan is experiencing unseasonal heat, breaking a 13-year temperature record in several districts. On Wednesday (January 29), Barmer recorded a scorching 34.4°C, the highest January temperature since 2012. Udaipur, Jodhpur, Bikaner, Dungarpur, Bhilwara, and Chittorgarh also reported temperatures nearing 30°C, marking an unexpected surge in daytime heat.

Warm Days, Mild Nights as Winter Fades
With clear skies and strong sunshine, temperatures have risen significantly across Rajasthan. The increase in minimum temperatures has led to a noticeable decline in night-time cold. Meteorologists predict that this warm spell may persist for another two days before a weather shift around February 2-3 brings relief.
Highest Temperatures Since 2012
In the past 24 hours, most parts of Rajasthan experienced an unusual rise in mercury. Barmer recorded the highest temperature of 34.4°C, breaking its previous January record of 33.5°C in 2018.
Similarly, Udaipur hit 31.5°C, surpassing its 2018 record of 31.2°C, making it the hottest January in 13 years.

Minimum Temperatures on the Rise, Morning & Evening Chill Reduces
Not just daytime heat, but night temperatures have also increased. Sikar saw its night temperature rise from 10°C to 12°C, reducing the winter chill. Other regions such as Bikaner, Churu, Chittorgarh, and Baran recorded a 4-5°C increase in minimum temperatures, offering relief from bitter cold conditions.

According to Radheshyam Sharma, Director of the Jaipur Meteorological Center, Rajasthan will continue to experience clear skies and strong sunshine over the next three days. However, from February 2-3, an active Western Disturbance is expected to impact the state, bringing rain and thunderstorms to:

- Ajmer
