Jaipur (Udaipur Kiran): Director General of Police (DGP) Rajeev Kumar Sharma has outlined the key priorities of the RAJASTHAN Police for the year 2026, emphasizing a people-centric, technology-driven, and effective policing system aimed at strengthening law and order across the state.

Highlighting the roadmap for the coming year, the DGP said that public safety, crime control, and building public trust will remain at the core of policing efforts. He stressed that the police force would work with greater efficiency, sensitivity, and accountability to ensure a safer environment for citizens.
Crime Control as Top Priority
Addressing crime-related priorities, DGP Sharma stated that strict and decisive action would be taken against organized crime. Preventing crimes against women, children, and vulnerable sections of society will remain a top priority, with emphasis on swift action and high-quality investigation. He also highlighted the importance of improving road safety and strengthening traffic management to reduce accidents across the state.
With the rise in cybercrime, special focus will be placed on enhancing technical capabilities and strengthening cyber policing mechanisms to effectively tackle digital offences.
Administrative and Policing Reforms
On the administrative front, DGP Sharma said that strengthening police-public relations will be a key focus area. Greater use of technology will be encouraged to improve transparency, efficiency, and service delivery. Efforts will also be made to improve the working conditions, welfare, and skill development of police personnel.
He further emphasized that community participation would be promoted through various initiatives to build trust and cooperation between the police and the public.
DGP Sharma expressed confidence that with the effective implementation of these priorities, Rajasthan Police would become more responsive, people-friendly, and capable of maintaining law and order more efficiently in the coming year.
