Rajasthan Police Conference Ends with Focus on Policing in Developed India

The two-day state-level police conference 2026, organized by RAJASTHAN Police, concluded in Jaipur with a strong commitment to realizing the vision of a developed India. The final day of the conference featured in-depth discussions on tackling modern crimes, integrating new technologies, and innovative policing strategies.

The chief guest, Chief Secretary Mr. V. Srinivas, delivered a PowerPoint presentation on the theme “Policing in Developed India,” encouraging police officers. Drawing from his extensive experience, he shared crucial insights on the roles and responsibilities of a capable police force, including record management and documentation.

Director General of Police Mr. Rajiv Kumar Sharma highlighted the successful conduct of the conference and presented a roadmap for the future of policing. He provided details about the training sessions held during the two-day event and emphasized the upcoming changes in policing within the context of a developed India.

Additional Chief Secretary Home Bhaskar Sawant, DG Training Mr. Anil Paliwal, and RPA Director Sanjeev Kumar Narjari were also present on the dais. The vote of thanks was delivered by RPA Additional Director Shankardatt Sharma.

Women’s Safety and Technology: Top Priority

The second day began with a focus on sensitive issues like women’s safety. Special Police Commissioner of Delhi, Ajay Chaudhary, stressed that technology is the greatest protective shield for women in the modern era. He highlighted the growing importance of artificial intelligence (AI) and real-time monitoring in policing, explaining how technology can help prevent crimes before they occur.

Need for an Ecosystem Approach

Discussing challenges to maintaining law and order, IPS officer Vaibhav Krishna from Uttar Pradesh emphasized the need for an ecosystem approach. He noted that the nature of public movements is changing, and police must manage them using broad strategies and technical data rather than relying solely on force.

Forensics and Research

Dr. Satish Kumar, Director of NFSU Bhopal, urged updating forensic capabilities to speed up the justice process. He stressed the importance of advanced laboratories and strict adherence to NCL guidelines. The discussion focused on how forensic evidence plays a decisive role in convicting criminals.

Addressing the Narcotics Challenge

IG Vikas Kumar of Rajasthan ATS and Anti-Narcotics Task Force identified drug abuse as the biggest threat to the nation’s youth. He emphasized prevention, research, and most importantly, rehabilitation. He stated that arresting drug traffickers alone is insufficient; raising awareness to eliminate demand is also a vital police responsibility.

Disaster Management and Foreign Interference Strategy

In the final sessions, NDRF IG N.S. Bundela highlighted evolving challenges in disaster management, while IB Joint Director Satyapriya Singh presented on serious national security issues like foreign interference and countermeasures. These sessions evaluated police preparedness against cross-border conspiracies and natural disasters.

Director General of Police Rajiv Kumar Sharma urged all officers to implement the innovations and strategies discussed at the conference on the ground. He expressed confidence that with these new technologies, Rajasthan Police will play a leading role in building a safe and developed state.
