Jaipur, April 1, 2025 — In a New Year gift to lakhs of government employees and pensioners, the Rajasthan government has approved a 2% hike in Dearness Allowance (DA) under the 7th Pay Commission, taking the total DA to 55%. The hike will be effective retrospectively from January 1, 2025, and beneficiaries will also receive three months’ arrears.

CM Bhajanlal Sharma Announces DA Hike
The announcement was made by Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma via social media on Tuesday. He described the decision as a gesture of goodwill to mark the beginning of Vikram Samvat 2082 and the new financial year 2025–26.
“This decision reflects our government’s unwavering commitment to the welfare and economic betterment of state employees and pensioners,” Sharma stated in his post.
Over 12 Lakh Beneficiaries
The 2% DA hike is expected to benefit nearly 8 lakh government employees and 4.40 lakh pensioners across Rajasthan. With this latest revision, employees and retirees will now receive 55% DA/DR, up from the earlier 53%.
