Bhiwani, May 11, 2025 – The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a rainfall alert for the entire state of Haryana today. According to forecasts, parts of the state will experience moderate showers accompanied by gusty winds, especially in northern and western districts. A slight temperature drop of 1.4°C has also been recorded, offering relief from prevailing heat conditions. However, Palwal remained the hottest district on Saturday.

The IMD has indicated a 25–50% chance of rainfall in the following 7 districts:

Meanwhile, 15 other districts, including Palwal, Gurugram, Faridabad, Rohtak, and Karnal, are likely to receive up to 25% rainfall. Scattered rainfall was reported on Saturday in Panipat, Sonepat, and Ambala, further validating the shift in weather patterns across the region.
Wind Speed Alert in 7 Districts
On May 11 (Sunday), strong winds of 40–50 km/h are forecasted in the same 7 districts listed above. These gusts may be accompanied by thunder and lightning, increasing the risk of localized disruptions. Residents are advised to stay indoors during storm activity and secure loose outdoor items.

Despite the brief spells of rainfall, daytime temperatures across Haryana remain high, with the mercury touching 40°C in several regions. Palwal, in particular, recorded the highest temperature on Saturday, continuing to rank among the hottest areas in the state.
IMD data suggests further cooling over the next two days, followed by a return to hot and dry conditions post-May 14, especially in the southern belt of Haryana.
